Title: Virus doesn't care as students try to prepare for College
Date:4/13/20

Brief Description: This article talks about the efforts of college students to determine where they are going to go for college while not being able to take in full-on college tours of campuses filled to the brim with students. Through the lens of high school seniors Serra and Lauren we see what it's like having to dump traditional college tours for zoom meetings.
Keywords: College Affordability
Future Implications: If college students can't get a good grasp on what being on a specific college campus is like they may opt to attend a college they've already visited. Likewise, they may opt to just not attend college next year and do a gap year till hopefully, the COVID-19 outbreak fades away.

Title: Is This the End of College as We Knew It?
Date:4/19/20

Brief Description: The post-COVID-19 world may radically alter the world of higher education. This article offers a few suggestions for what college could look like after the crisis ends. There could be an expansion of off-campus work in labs, community service projects or internships. This would decrease the number of college students on campus at one time. Likewise, college students could also stagger being on campus, classes can be scheduled to be other week so that not everyone has to be on campus at the same time. This would minimize interactions between students who don't need to interact on campus.
Keywords: College
Future Implications: This article plays into an idea that I had suggested in the prior essay, the idea that colleges could make course loads more internship heavy. The article and my essay take different reasons for more internships(mine was for professional reasons, the article was for preventing too many students from being on campus at once), but they are both of the same opinion.
