Title: College campuses must reopen in the fall. Here's how we do it.

Brief Description: Christina Paxson, President of Brown University, wrote an opinion piece in the New York Times detailing how she believes we can reopen college campuses in the fall. She advocates for not holding large lecture classes, having testing on a large scale, contact tracing, and avoiding having students share bathrooms. She also makes note of the fact that zoom learning won't work full time for many students. Many students don't have private spaces to do homework and have class. Plenty of others don't even have stable internet connections.
Keywords: College
Future Implications: College campuses are going to be a lot different until a vaccine can be mass manufactured. As such colleges are going to need to adjust. It may not be prudent to open underclassmen dorms which are often cramped and have students sharing bathrooms. But opening dorms that aren't cramped and don't have to share bathrooms might be a good idea. According to the article, Higher Education pumps $600 billion into the economy so there are obviously also good economic reasons for trying to restore some normalcy on college campuses.

Title: Trump Administration takes aim at wealthy universities
Date:4/22/20

Brief Description: Under the CARES Act colleges and universities were granted money based on how many low-income students they have enrolled at their school. Under this formula, Harvard University received $8.6 million. Being that Harvard has an endowment of $40 billion there was obviously an uproar about this. Some uproar came from the Trump Administration who said that Harvard should return the money which they did.
Keywords: Trump
Future Implications: In the future, these formulas should be altered so those wealthy colleges like
Harvard don't receive those funds which other colleges need more.
